TAX COLLECTION - Send your property tax payment to Town of Brillion Treasurer W2123 Center Road, Brillion, WI 54110.
PLEASE INCLUDE DOG LICENSE PAYMENT WITH THE FIRST INSTALLMENT. Collection of property tax payments will be by mail only. If
you pay your taxes with an escrow check for more than the tax bill amount, a refund check will be mailed to you after the
next monthly Town Board meeting.
LOTTERY CREDIT. Owners of a home who use the home as their primary residence on January 1, 2009 are eligible for the
Wisconsin Lottery and Gaming Credit. If you are not currently receiving the credit on your tax bill, please contact Sharon
Ott, Treasurer, to complete a Lottery and Gaming Credit form. The Lottery and Gaming Credit form must be completed and returned
to the Treasurer by January 31, 2010 to be eligible to recieve a credit for 2009 tax year. UNITED
STATES CENSUS. In 2010 the Census will be mailing information to residents of the Town of Brillion. It is our
understanding that the mailing will be addressed to "Occupant" and not the property owner's last name. Please
watch for the mailing, fill out the form and return to the address indicated.

VOTING. Please keep in mind that state law now requires all residents of Wisconsin to be registered before they can
vote in an election. New state voter registration rules require all minicipalities - towns, villages, and cities - to keep
track of voter information in Wisconsin's new Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS). If you would like to register to
vote, before Election Day, please contact the clerk at (920) 756-5363 for more information. On Election Day Town of Brillion
residents can also register to vote before casting their vote at the Town of Brillion Municipal Building.
BUILDING PERMITS FOR NEW HOMES. Building permits must be obtained before work can begin. Contact Calumet
County Planning Department, Calumet County Courthouse, 206 Court Street; Chilton, Wisconsin. (920) 989-2700 or (920)
849-1442. Please call ahead. BUILDING INSPECTOR. PAUL BIRSCHBACH, of Birschbach Inspection
Service, LCC. Paul's office is located at 18 West Main Street, Suite L in Chilton. Phone: (920) 849-9274; Fax: (920) 849-2726;
Cell: 378-2857. Hours of business are 3:00-4:30pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, or by appointment. Inspection is
required on new homes and general remodeling over $2,500.
OTHER BUILDING PERMITS. Issued by WAYNE MAILE, Chairman, W1520 Conservation Road; Brillion - 756-2367. Permits may
also be obtained at the Calumet County Planning Department. County zoning requires building permits to be obtained before
work can begin for all remodeling jobs over $2,000. Per County Ordinance, if a building permit is not obtained before construction
begins, a fine will be issued.
ACCESS ORDINANCE 2-2002. Reminder that a permit is required to construct or reconstruct a driveway. No entrance upon or
departure from a Town road within the Town of Brillion by be constructed, reconstructed or have a change in use without the
person, firm, municipality or corporation, FIRST OBTAINING A PERMIT FROM THE TOWN OF BRILLION. This shall include the blacktopping
of approaches to driveways. Applications for permits shall be obtained at the Municipal Building or from the Town Chairman.
BURN BARRELS. Wisconsin sate rules (Administrative Code NR 429) prohibit the burning of most materials including
rubber, plastic, and asphaltic materials (shingles, tar paper). Generally the materials that cause the most toxic emissions
are those that are prohibited from burning under state law. If prohibited and allowed materials are mixed, they cannot
be burned. Any prohibited materials must be removed before the allowed materials are burned. Also, be aware that
burning household trash creates dioxin and other toxic substances that are released into the air and can cause harmful human

DOG LICENSES. Issued by Sharon Ott, Treasurer; W2123 Center Road; Brillion. 989-1367. Dogs in the State of Wisconsin over
the age of 5 months are required by law to be licensed before April 1st of each year. Please include the payment of the dog
license when paying the first installment of your property tax. A CERTIFICATE OF RABIES VACCINATION IS REQUIRED. INCLUDE
A COPY OF RABIES CERTIFICATE WITH PAYMENT ALONG WITH A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE. Dog license fees are $3.00 for neutered
male or spayed female and $8.00 for non-neutered male or non-spayed female dogs. ALL DOGS NEED TO BE LICENSED BY APRIL 1st.
A LATE FEE OF $5.00 PER DOG WILL BE CHARGED IF PAID AFTER APRIL 1st.
PROBLEMS WITH A STRAY ANIMAL. If an animal has been picked up as a stray or missing, please call 989.1652. Appointments
are necessary to view your animal. A daily charge will be assessed.
WINTER SAFETY. Residents please shovel snow away from your mailbox and "flag" the mailbox so snow plow drivers
are aware of the box. The town is not responsible for boxes hit by the plow; mailboxes are loacted in the town right-of-way.
For public safety concerns please do not push snow from a private driveway into the roadway or into road ditches.
This violates Wisconsin Statutes 88.01, 86.07, 346.94 or 941.03. A citation will be issued by the Sheriff's Department.
FOREST JUNCTION'S WINTER PARKING BAN is in effect from November 15 to April 1. Vehicles will be towed at owner's
expense.

New containers delivered to your residence must be 90 gallons at the cost of $130.00 per year. To order a new container,
contact Wayne Maile, 756-2367. PLEASE RECYCLE. To reduce waste, residents are encouraged to buy wisely, compost
food scraps and yard waste, reuse containers and recycle whenever possible. Recycling grant money, which the town receivees
from the State of Wisconsin, is based on the amount of materials received by residents of the Town of Brillion. Recycling
is mandatory in the State of Wisconsin. Recycling pays. Please help us keep costs down by recycling! *
NEWSPAPER should be tied in bundles or placed in brown paper grocery bags * CARDBOARD tied in bundles * COMINGLED
#1, #2 plastic containers, glass jars, or tin cans in a clear bag REMEMBER: * Paper/cardboard WILL NOT
be picked up if in plastic bags or garbage barrels * Do not mix paper with commingled recyclables * Oil and
petroleum products are not recyclable * Put aluminum cans in clear plastic bags LARGE ITEM
PICKUP. Please call Veolia Environmental Services at 1.888.688.4005. All coolant must be removed from refrigerators
and air conditioners. If a resident has an unwanted household and clothing items, consider donating to The Shepherd's
